Spartakiad started among KPI employees

On November 5, the grand opening of a sports festival organized to mark the first anniversary of the plant’s launch took place among KPI employees.

In his welcoming speech, Chief of Staff Rollan Sarsenbeck congratulated the personnel with the anniversary. In addition, the teams were wished bright victories and success by the Deputy Akim of the city of Atyrau Nurzhan Yermukhanov, the chairman of the trade union Abdulla Gabbasov, and the Managing Director of Karabatan Utility Solutions Kalikov Ruslan.

13 teams take part in the sports competitions - these are the teams of Factory Management, PP, PDH, U&O, Packaging and Storage of Finished Products Production, Corporate Center, KUS, VGS, Agaiyn Security, Chief Power Engineer’ Service, Propane Drainage and Storage Production, SGS, KTR.
Participants competed in 9 sports. These are mini football, table tennis, chess, backgammon, e-sports, bowling, volleyball, streetball, rope war.

The first mini-football selection was held among four groups (A, B, C, D) of 13 teams. Among them, PDH from Group A, KUS from Group B, VGS from Group C and KTR from Group D advanced to the semi-finals.

“This is the second Olympics since the launch of the plant. Everything is organized at a high level. Our team played well, even if it didn’t reach the semifinals. I admire my colleagues, including those at PDH. I invite all teams to take an active part and congratulate you on the 1st anniversary of the official launch of the complex,” says Makhmut Taurov, the top scorer of the Spartakiad last year.

And 7 teams (Counter Strike Global Offensive) took part in the competition among e-sportsmen. Each of them was a worthy opponent. As a result, PDH, U&O, Corporate Center and Factory Management reached the semi-finals.

Sabit Bularov, the Head of Translation Group involved in organizing e-sports, says that the Games are organized at a high level.
“The competition was also broadcast online. We are looking forward to all the teams in the semi-finals,” he says.
