Storehouse for finished products of KPI opens in Almaty
Integrated Petrochemical Complex for production of polypropylene “Kazakhstan Petrochemical Industries Inc.” opened the first storehouse for distribution and logistics network to store 500 tons of finished products in Almaty city. Representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Construction, Association of manufacturers and consumers of petrochemical products, as well as representatives of Samruk-Kazyna, KMG, IMD, KPI and polymer processing companies attended the official launch of the storehouse.

Polypropylene storehouse in the northern capital city of Kazakhstan will improve logistical accessibility of polymer raw materials for processing companies from Almaty city and its surroundings, and will significantly shorten delivery terms.

"Our storehouse in Almaty will allow major processing companies to obtain polypropylene within the shortest terms, and representatives of small and middle business can buy products in small amounts. “All brands of polypropylene produced at KPI factory will be available for ordering from the storehouse" said Damir Abeldinov, the head of Sales and Customer Services Department.

During the opening ceremony, КРІ signed an agreement for supply of 20 pallets weighing 17.5 tons for “Kazpolisnab” LLP, a binder manufacturer. The partnership consumes 130–150 tons of polypropylene a month.

“Upon the launch of KPI Company, we got rid of import dependence. Opening of the storehouse for finished products in Almaty demonstrates that the Company appreciates its clients and strives for maximum availability of its products,” noted Adilkhan Temirbekov, the Director of “Kazpolisnab” LLP.

KPI Company is planning to transport products to the storehouse in Almaty in volumes required to satisfy all needs of local processing companies. Today, the plant outputs 9 brands of polypropylene used in construction, medicine, food and textile industries.

In addition, during the event, a new KPI’s client program for development of polypropylene processing in Kazakhstan was presented – “Boost”, which will allow domestic processing companies to open new opportunities in developing new market outlets for finished products. Previously, the program was developed by SIBUR, a Russian petrochemical company, and it has successfully established itself among Russian manufacturers of polymer products. Thus, growth of polymer market in Russia demonstrated a record growth of 9% in 2023.
