М. Mirzagaliyev inspected the progress of works on flood control measures in KPI complex

The head of KMG Magzum Mirzagaliev, having arrived in Atyrau on a working visit, visited the Karabatan site, where he assessed the progress of flood control measures on the territory of KPI Inc LLP and the special economic zone National Industrial Petrochemical Technopark (SEZ NIPT).

Based on the recommendations of representatives of civil protection services in the region, M. Mirzagaliyev gave instructions to further strengthen and systematize engineering flood control work, and also focused on the need to continue work on creating dams, embanking, promptly attracting additional equipment, and round-the-clock interaction with relevant specialists to protect the plant KPI, built according to a modern model, from being flooded by flood waters.

At KPI, plant personnel are setting up living quarters in a temporary camp for possible accommodation of the evacuated population (1000 people). Measures are also being taken to protect the territory of the enterprise from watering. In addition, the company’s employees are participating in work to strengthen the 1,500-meter-long coastline of the Urals in the area of the village of Balykshi.
