The KPI plant mastered the production of new grades of polypropylene

On the eve of the 32nd anniversary of Kazakhstan's independence, Kazakhstan Petrochemical Industries Inc. released two new grades of polypropylene - PP H270 FF/7 and PP H036 BF/7.

The PP H270 FF/7 grade is intended for the production of fibers, nonwovens, thermally bonded and needle-punched fabrics, and agrotextiles. It is used in products such as medical protective masks, medical gowns, tablecloths, geogrids for road construction and personal hygiene items.
Along with the already produced grade PP H031 BF/7, the analogue phthalate-free grade PP H036 BF/7 was introduced. There is great demand for it in Europe, since phthalate-free (the absence of phthalic acid esters) is a requirement of European certification authorities for the production of hygiene products and food packaging.
This brand is intended for the production of polymer films for food and everyday goods, labels and adhesive films. Examples include labels on drink bottles, crisp packets and chocolate wrappers.
KPI products have been standardized at SIBUR PolyLab (Moscow).
In general, the production of new grades that are in high demand in European countries will allow KPI to gain a foothold in the target market and increase sales potential.
