Today public hearings were held at the Kazakhstan Petrochemical Industries Inc. LLP on the standards for permissible emissions, the waste management program, and the environmental action plan. The meeting discussed the environmental program of the complex for 2023-2025, which, starting from October, will reduce emissions by 60 tons.
“If according to the project we have to consume 2.8 million tons of cubic meters of water per year, now we use 1.2 million tons of cubic meters of water. We do not discharge wastewater into evaporation zones. We clean and reuse. We will work, taking into account the comments of representatives of non-governmental organizations, members of the People’s Party of Kazakhstan and residents of the city who took part in public hearings,” said Dinara Sybanbayeva, the Head of the HSSE service of KPI Inc. LLP.
KPI Inc. this year plans to start landscaping the area and plant trees. The participants of the hearings unanimously supported and voted for several environmental protection projects of the company.
It is worth noting that this year the complex began developing a control system at the place of production of harmful substances using an automated system.
