From July 4-7, 2022, representatives of the Malaysian national oil company Petronas paid a working visit to Kazakhstan in order to develop mutually beneficial cooperation.
During the visit, the delegation visited a polypropylene production plant in Atyrau.
The delegation includes Senior Vice President of Petronas, Rector of UTP Bacho Pilong, Vice President of Petronas Project Implementation and Technology Office Mohd Shahroul Amir Zamberi, Vice Chancellor of UTP, Professor, Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim Abdul Mutalib, Director General for Strategic Projects of UTP Zaimizi Hamdani, Dean of the UTP Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Rosdiazli Ibrahim.
At KPI, the guests were met by Chief Engineer Denis Kozyrev, who introduced them to the production facilities.
During the final meeting, the shortage of specialists in the gas chemical industry was discussed not only in the region, but also in the country, the level of education in educational institutions, as well as the concepts of possible cooperation.
As previously reported, in order to train production employees, KPI sends employees to Russia, Uzbekistan, Colombia for training. Work in this direction will continue. In turn, the guests wished the company a successful start of the project and safe operation.
