A ceremonial forum marking the 60th anniversary of the scientific career of Raushan Sarmurzina – a prominent Kazakh scientist – was held at Safi Utebayev University in Atyrau.
Raushan Sarmurzina, Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Honored Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan, was recognized for her remarkable contributions to the development of the national oil and gas chemical industry. The forum spotlighted her extensive achievements, including the launch of a systematic study of natural gas composition at key fields such as Yembimunaigas, Karachaganak, and TCO. She was also actively involved in the development of strategic policy documents aimed at advancing Kazakhstan’s petrochemical sector. In the early 2000s, she played an instrumental role in promoting international scientific collaboration, including partnerships with research institutions in the United Kingdom.
