On April 25, 2025, at the propane drain and storage facility of KPI Inc. LLP, with the participation of a representative of the Industrial Safety Department of the Emergency Situations Department of the Atyrau Region, a training alert was conducted on the topic: "Depressurization of a liquid propane pipeline on a railway overpass with a release of hydrocarbons in an open area." According to the plan of the exercise, as a result of the accident, the operator of the production facility was poisoned.
To eliminate the accident, the following on-site emergency rescue units were involved: the FERU Karabatan ZF "Semser - Ort Sondirushi", the medical service of the PI FMC "Intertich". The cordoning off of the emergency area was provided by the employees of the security service "Agaiyn Security".
During the training alert, the initial actions of the personnel to localize the emergency situation with subsequent evacuation of workers to the assembly point were worked out. As part of the emergency rescue operations, the victim was lowered down a fixed rope, and the fire department deployed forces and equipment.
Overall, the results of the exercise resulted in a positive assessment of the actions of production personnel and the emergency response units involved.
In total, 4 units of equipment and 22 emergency rescue personnel were deployed to the training site.
