During a client event held by KPI in Shymkent, the company signed agreements with FIBC LLP and Taraz Plastic LLP as part of the "Investment Fast-Track" program.
Kazakhstan Petrochemical Industries Inc. (KPI) continues to develop partnerships with domestic processing enterprises through its "Investment Fast-Track" program. The program aims to support businesses, enhance their production capacities, and increase the use of Kazakhstani polypropylene in the manufacture of finished goods.
FIBC already utilizes KPI polypropylene for bag production. Under the "Investment Fast-Track" program, the company has expanded its bag manufacturing capacity and installed equipment to produce multifilament yarn—a product previously not manufactured in Kazakhstan. The signed agreement enables the company to further develop its partnership with KPI. Plans are in place to raise monthly polypropylene consumption to 132 tonnes by the end of the period, with further volume increases scheduled for the future.
Kairat Taibukenov, Commercial Director of FIBC LLP, stated:
"Cooperation with KPI allows us to ensure a stable supply of domestic raw materials for our production and plan for future volume growth. Expanding our production of polymer packaging and multifilament yarn will enable us to increase output and strengthen the company's manufacturing capabilities."
Taraz Plastic LLP is another existing processor of KPI polypropylene. The company uses KPI raw materials to manufacture hay-baling twine. As part of the "Investment Fast-Track" program, the enterprise is developing its production facilities and planning further output expansion. Plans are in place to increase monthly polypropylene consumption to 30 tonnes by the end of 2026, with further increases planned thereafter. The "Investment Afterburner" program is one of the tools used to support domestic processors. Under the program, KPI assists enterprises in implementing projects to acquire equipment and expand production capacities, including by covering interest payments to banks.
