At the initiative of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the ENER FORT 2026 event was held in Almaty at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. It brought together representatives of government agencies, the scientific community, and the country's leading enterprises.
As part of the program, participants discussed current issues related to protecting critical infrastructure, the digital transformation of industry, modern cyber threats, and the prospects for the development of quantum computing technologies.
The key event of the second day was the Capture the Flag (CTF) practical competition, in which 11 teams of specialists from Kazakhstani enterprises solved problems identifying and resolving information security incidents.
One of the teams included Artur Mukhtarov, a leading engineer in the Chief Metrologist's Service. Together with representatives from the Atyrau Refinery, KPO, and KazMunayGas, the team successfully completed the competition tasks and took second place.
Participation in ENER FORT 2026 allowed us to exchange practical experience with industry colleagues, strengthen our skills in responding to modern cyber threats, and enhance our cybersecurity competencies.
