Shymkent factory "Bal Carpet" produces carpets using polypropylene of "KPI Inc." LLP.

The enterprise, located on the territory of 6.5 hectares, started its work in 2013. Today, carpets are produced here, which are sold not only in Kazakhstan, but also exported to Mongolia, Russia, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and China.
In 2018, the factory opened its own workshop for the production of polypropylene threads, which were previously purchased abroad. Now the whole process is fully automated: polypropylene granules melt at a temperature of 235 degrees, after which strong threads are formed from them. It is from them that carpets are subsequently woven. Today, the annual capacity of the enterprise is 6 million square meters of products.
• Since the opening of the "KPI Inc." LLP plant, we have started active cooperation. The enterprise produces polypropylene of the necessary quality. It is also convenient that there are warehouses, we can buy raw materials at the right time, without stopping production. Thanks to domestic polymer raw materials, the selling price of carpets has decreased by 20%, - said the deputy director of "Bal Carpet" Almas Abishev.
Today, the factory annually buys about 4,000 tons of polypropylene. There are 17 weaving machines working at the production, and the assortment includes more than 1,500 unique designs. Now the factory cooperates with 30 distributors of Atyrau, supplying about 300 thousand square meters of carpets.
Each carpet is created taking into account regional preferences. Residents of Atyrau choose both national ornaments and modern abstract designs, it all depends on the city and district. Together with the distributors, we develop colors and patterns and after approval, we launch the products for sale, - added A. Abishev.
Today, about 600 people are permanently employed at the factory. Despite the already achieved results, the enterprise intends to further expand production and increase capacity.
