A fire and tactical drill were held at the administrative building of KPI LLP with the participation of units of the Emergency Situations Department of Atyrau Region.
The event was organized as part of the implementation of paragraph 18.5 of the Roadmap for improving industrial safety, labor protection and the environment in the group of companies of JSC NC KazMunayGas for 2025-2027, approved by the decision of the Chairman of the Board of JSC Samruk-Kazyna.
According to the drill scenario, as a result of overvoltage in the electrical network on the second floor, a short circuit occurred in the electrical wiring, which led to the fire of furniture and office equipment. After the fire alarm was triggered, 93 people were evacuated from the building within 5 minutes.
The emergency service units successfully practiced actions to eliminate a simulated fire at a facility with a large number of people. During the exercise, 4 units of equipment and 22 employees of the Department of Emergency Situations were involved.
Following the event, a representative of the Department of Emergency Situations of the Atyrau Region gave a positive assessment of the actions of KPI employees during the evacuation in conditions of a simulated fire and noted the importance of conducting such training to ensure the safety of the team.
