In pursuance of the instructions of the Head of State, KazMunayGas continues to develop Kazakhstan's petrochemical industry within the framework of state industrial policy, focusing on deepening the processing of hydrocarbon raw materials and the production of products with high added value.
The petrochemical complex of Kazakhstan Petrochemical Industries Inc. has shipped one million tons of polypropylene since its launch in 2022.
It is worth noting that KPI demonstrated strong growth in 2025, increasing polypropylene production by more than 50% compared to 2024. The company produced 186,600 tons of product (accounting for KMG).
Domestic polypropylene sales increased by 71.3%. Export polypropylene sales grew by 44%.
KPI is consistently expanding its support for Kazakhstani producers. The establishment of a network of regional warehouses in Astana, Almaty, and Shymkent has enabled it to minimize logistics costs and respond quickly to the needs of domestic processors. Total domestic shipments from all company sites (including the factory warehouse in Atyrau) in the first quarter of 2026 amounted to approximately 10,000 tons of polypropylene.
By the end of 2025, the total client base had grown from 105 to 150 companies. In the first three months of this year, the number of Kazakhstani clients increased to 165 companies.
