Kazakhstan Petrochemical Industries Inc. (KPI) produced 219,372 tons of polypropylene in the first six months of this year. This is an important result for the development of the processing industry in Kazakhstan.
Currently, KPI has 15 grades of polypropylene in its range, 13 of which are already in use, and two more are being tested for compliance with customer requirements. This allows Kazakhstani manufacturers to produce various types of products: packaging, textiles, engineering parts, and more. With the launch of the plant in 2022, the number of processing companies in the country has grown from 80 to more than 130.
In the first five months of 2025, the volume of polypropylene processing within the country increased by 28% compared to the same period last year. Almost a quarter of KPI's sales this year came from new Kazakhstani companies.
Polypropylene is widely used in everyday life and industry. KPI products are in demand both on the domestic market and abroad. The launch of the plant helped reduce dependence on imports.
The company is gradually increasing production volumes, introducing modern management systems and monitoring environmental safety. KPI also plans to expand its product range and cooperation with processors.
